Michael is a key changemaker at UpVentures. He leads strategic investments and social impact initiatives to assist entrepreneurs, companies, and communities across Upstate New York. His expertise includes business operations, financial management, private equity, and real estate development.
With UpVentures, Michael has guided the due diligence of 50 private equity investments and counting, which have resulted in substantial outcomes and further enhanced our track record of effective investing.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led the development of Rock City Centre, our 12,000-square-foot state-of-the-art coworking and event space. He currently leads our large-scale real estate development projects in Little Falls.
Michael graduated from Wells College in the Finger Lakes with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Management and earned his Masters in Finance from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester.
He is passionate about assisting, mentoring, and coaching the next generation of entrepreneurs in getting their businesses off the ground and becoming successful, especially companies that attract more innovation, growth, and value to regional communities.

A Syracuse native, Michael is devoted to the Orange, a keen Bills fan, and an enthusiast of English Premier League football (every Saturday morning). He loves hiking and exploring Upstateās many parks and trails with his wife, Lauren, and their golden retriever, Joey.
